I just flossed and for some reason my gums hurt more than normal which is really wierd. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make them less sore?

Floss every day...then it won't hurt when you do it anymore.

Just give them some time that is about all you can do maybe try rinsing with some mouthwash or warm salt water. You probably just flossed harder than normal which isn't unusual just try to be more gentle next time. Good luck

A teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water is what dentists recommend. Rinse a few times holding the water in your mouth for several seconds. Then finally rinse with plain warm water. Feel better soon.

mouthwash is to aggressive it will irritate the gums. Best is to rinse your mouth with salt water. That should help after a few days.

Rinse your mouth with a good mouthwash. It will sting at first but it will make it feel better.

THis might sound stupid, but if you put some alcohol on it, it'll sting at first but then the pain will die away... or you could use a localized anesthetic ;-) that would work too.
