Well, I'm personally not afraid of a drug test as I don't have anything to hide, but I still oppose random drug-testing in the workplace. It's just a question of privacy. Who's an employer to tell me he can take a sample from my body to verify my private life? I just don't like where this train of thought is taking us. If they're satisfied with my work, what I do once I step out those doors is none of their business.

While I agree with you totally, and would submit to a drug test without reservation, Yvan S makes a perfectly good point. Why should I have to give up body fluids to prove my innocence? The job performance should speak for itself. It should be like this: if your job performance gives the company reasonable cause to suspect drug use, then the test. Otherwise, back off.

Amen sista! I am high off of life and there is no drug test in the world that can detect that.
Drugs are stupid but apparently people are not any better to be putting their jobs on the line just to get high.

the only people who fear drug tests or try to find a way to get around them are those who have something to hide.
If you get hurt on the job and they find drugs or alcohol in your system at the time you were hurt, your job can
1. legally deny you Workman's comp under the grounds that you were impaired to do your job safely.
2. Fire you for endangering yourself and others.
