there are various drugs to deal with bipolar illness, which contain: Antimanics: Lithium; Anticonvulsants: Klonopin, Tegretol, Depakote, Neurontin, Lamictal, Topamax, Trileptal; Calcium Channel Blockers: Verapamil; Antipsychotics: Thorazine, Zyprexa, Abilify, Seroquel, Risperdal, Geodon. i'm uncertain if any of those are the particular drug you're searching for for, even with the undeniable fact that that's all i've got have been given! sturdy luck.

The most effective drugs will vary from person to person based on many things such as: body chemistry, other medications, diet and exercise, family history, etc.

Talk to a psychiatrist about this. They are more specialized than other doctors in this matter.

**Lamictal has been a drug I've seen prescribed in hospitals for this matter. Ask about it, but accept that it may not be best for you.

I hear lot of positive things about the drug Seroquel, but it is dangerous to take anything not prescribed for you. Talk to your doctor and see if it sounds like a medication you should take.

There is no best drug for this illness. Each person is different and each person reacts to a med. differently. One person may do well with a med that does not work at all on the next, Its trial and error with this illness and the proper medication.

Getting the person with this made up disease in a room with 4-5 people then kick the living crap out of them until they understand that life isnt all peaches and cream, and if they cant handle life put a friging gun in your mouth and get it over with. My drug of choice is pot, try it, forget about government made drugs that will only cloud your soul, these are for the weak! You think you have it bad go talk to someone in kosovo or liberia and ask them, get up, get out, and enjoy life!!

I'm no doctor but I know people who are bipolar. It varies, but most take lithium. Topamax is another option, or depakote. lamictal is also used.
