It depended on the store. The corner store where I grew up sold them for 25-40 cents. By the mid-eighties, the price went up to 50 cents.

In the late 60's early 70's they were about 10 cents.

I have a vivid memory (for some reason) of paying 36 cents for one back in 2nd grade, which for me was 1978. So figure 3 years later, maybe 40-45 cents.

okay, i am dating myself, but i remember getting three for 99, but most were 50 cents
