I just found out today that I have herpes. My boyfriend is in Air Force boot camp my only way to contact him is through letters right now. I need to tell him but I dont know whether I should tell him in a letter or wait untill I see him at bootcamp graduation in the begging of Nov. I never cheated on him and there is a very good chance he has it because we had unprotected sex. He will not be able to give it to any one while in basic. I just want to know if it would be better on him to tell him in a letter or wait till I can tell him in person? And when I do tell him what should I say to make sure he knows I didnt cheat on him?

well I think there are pros and cons to both but I would do it in a letter I think that it's important that he know right away so that he can find out if he too has it. and just explain it in the letter if he loves you he'll believe you didn't cheat on him. PLus then by the time you too can see each other you can be together and not have to worry about how to tell him the news. Good Luck

It should be easy to convince him that you did not cheat because herpes can lay dormant in the body for quite a few years. But I would tell him now!

but i dont think its going to matter how you tell him i mean that he wont think you cheated
if he trusts you he wont think that
and if he does hell ask and just tell him you didnt

Yeah i would tell him right away, because i mean if he has it too then he would probably like to see if he has it to. So yeah i say tell him.
