It all depends who you listen to, I have never heard anyone say such a thing until I read your question.
So who keeps saying these things. Babies are also born not knowing how to speak, or walk or talk all things they must learn.

I think its just common sense. Lets take a simple concept. A ham sandwich. Does a newborn baby know what a ham sandwich is? Of course not! To suggest otherwise is simply stupid.
Are the concepts of religion deeper and more difficult to understand than a ham sandwich? Yes.
Does a baby know anything about a ham sandwich without being taught? No.
Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that all babies are born believing in Jesus (or any other god) and somehow forget it just in time to start speaking?
I don't believe I've ever heard anything more preposterous.

Scientists can not read the minds of babies.what they can do is observe their behavior, study and document the observations, and come up with theories based on that, This is called he scientific method.Babies are born not 'believing' in any thing.Children are taught what to believe by their parents or care-givers.If you are interested in child psycology or early child hood development there are many excellent books on the subject-u can check them out at your local public library for free.

No scientist have not found a way and will never find a way because the mind is so vast and complex that there are to many sections of the brain to figure out where the mind is thinking. Also we would need a machine that would do this, and this is also never going to happen because it would have to be radio-active like an x-ray but alot stronger.

They say that because babies don't develop abstract thought until years later. They can't get any idea of any gods. Even when children get old enough to talk, and parents force them to go to church, they really don't have any idea of what a god is.
An atheist is one who is unconvinced of the existence of any gods. That makes a baby an atheist. They can't even conceive of the notion of any god, let alone develop a belief in one.

Yes, I sawa show I can't remember on a channel I can't remember featuring a guy in a lab coat that said something like that. He said babies can't develope abstract thought so they naturally incline towards French Existentialist angst and feelings of futility very similar to Camus'. Of course.

It doesn't really matter what a baby thinks or doesn't think, it is the parents responsibility.
1 Corinthians 7
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

I think babies are born needing someone to teach them something.
It's up to the mom and dad to help them go to heaven or help them to the highway to hell
