Nobody else is going to like this--but--why does everyone assume TELLING a gal you LOVE her is so important? There are infinite ways you can express your love even more profoundly than with words. Flowers, candy, etc. can sometimes seem kind of hokey, truth be told. But you know the gal. Think about, (if you're determined to "tell" her), what would be most appealing to HER.

Tell her when you two are by yourselves. If you want to plan something out, like a date or something just do a nice dinner. I would probably not want to hear it when I am eating though because if I am going to get a bad reaction from hearing it I would not want it to be at a restaurant during dinner with alot of people around.

Get her some roses and leave them in a place that she'll find them and have a note that says "i love you". Or you could try this one - Give her some roses with one fake one in it and tell her that you will love her until the last one dies, which means you will always love her because the last one is fake and wont never die.

Give her 3 red roses and 3 boxes of chocolate kisses while you are dining in plaza diner where a band is playing your favorite song!

Write a love note and mail it to her. My husband has done that and mailed it from work. He's so romantic. Yes, it works.

it depends on the girl.
if she's the poetry sorta person, write a poem and give it 2 her.
she love music? burn her a CD and give it 2 her. (song ideas: wonderwall by oasis, brighter than sunshine by aqualung)
no matter what, do it in person (no poems in locker vents, etc)
and do it somewhere quiet and special (a park that she likes, local starbucks, the beach, whatever)
