I do not need to be scared into being a good person. I believe in reincarnation. We have lessons to learn here on Earth before we can evolve into a pure spirit form. We continue to be born again (yes, literally) until we have learned all our lessons.
Blessed Be... ; )

I don't believe in life after death. Once you die, that's it, game over. As for why we are here....I don't think the two are particularly related but here's my take on it. We are here because millions and millions of years ago, life began. Gradually it evolved to the point we are now. And until you die, you are here. That's it.
Now I will get on my soap box for a moment, if you will permit.
This is why it is so important to live your life without hate and fear, why it is so important to worry about THIS life, not about what will happen when you die. It is what you do right now, in this life that matters, not that you have a reward or punishment waiting for you after you die. Living a decent life, and trying to help others do the same, are what is important, not worrying about what will happen after you are dead. If you focus on making this life the best you can for yourself and those around you, the world will be a better place for everyone.

If we were here back in Jesus' day, in a country on the oposite hemiphere, and your name was never in the bible or anywhere else, you were just a nomad in Mexico who died with an entire civilization... why do you think you were there in the first place? Some people ARE important, some aren't... if you can prove that every single person is important, maybe... MAYBE we could believe in life after death and a motive for life.

No, I don't believe in life after death because the Bible says that the dead are "conscious of nothing at all." -Ecclesiates 9:5. Psalms 146:4 says: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish."
We're here because God wants to be. He told Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to "become many and fill the earth." - Genesis 1:28.
We're here to live on the earth...but not the way it is now with so much badness everywhere. No more wars, death, poverty, sickness....the list goes on. Psalms 46:9; Isaiah 2:4; Isaiah 25:8; Isaiah 65:21,22; Psalms 72:16; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:4

Well I certainly don't think all the answers to why we are here come in a little book. I don't know why we are here, and I don't necessarily think there HAS to be a reason. No, I'm not scared of judgment day. I am a good person.

I have no idea. And nor does anyone else it would appear. At least atheist and agnostics admit it.
Its logically consistent with all that we know that we 'sleep' when we die.. No brain activity no senses no life. Wether thats for all eternity or not I have no idea. I am not aware of existing before being born, and yet here I am. When I die I am back in the earth. If I can be conscious this time, i dont see why not at another time after this life.

There is no life after death. To quote Peter Griffin (Family Guy) "HAHA..I'm just yanking ya, you really just rot in the ground". The reason people believe in life after death is simple and two fold: One they fear death. Two, life isn't fair so people need a way to create moral and social order. Besides, even if God does exist, won't he just forgive me when I die for not believing in him?

I'm not scared of judgement day. I don't believe in such a thing. Nor do I believe in life after death.
We are here because our parents had sex. There is no other outside meaning to our lives. The only meaning to our lives (besides that our biological parents procreated) is what we ourselves bring to it.
