if his mission was to be crusified for people's sins?
What if God answered his prayers?
Mar 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are] possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt

No he didn't ask God to help him .. he didn't express fear .. But he asked God to take away this cup from him.
- either he didn't know what his mission was
- Or he didn't love people and didn't care if they will get eternal life ot not

YOU would have done the same faced with the horrible death which awaits you. He did not express fear, he expressed humanity, he showed all of us the frailty, the weakness, and the fear which any one of us would have shown before being crucified. No you don't know how he felt so don't say he didn't show fear, no you don't know the precious life for you wouldn't ask such a question, you would know, and you would cry every time you see a cross. He was to beaten he was to be tortured, he was to be killed by bleeding to death, a horrible and painful death for an Innocent man. you would cry and beg, if soldiers were to invade your house, take you to a field, and crucify you for no reason, now do you know why he asked god to take this cup from me.
So HE COULD SHOW THE WHOLE WORLD WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT THE LOVE HE HAS FOR US. God wouldn't have answered his prayers, he is a man of his word, no question.

About the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice - Our Lord's great agony probably continued these three whole hours, at the conclusion of which be thus cried out, while he suffered from God himself what was unutterable. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? - Our Lord hereby at once expresses his trust in God, and a most distressing sense of his letting loose the powers of darkness upon him, withdrawing the comfortable discoveries of his presence, and filling his soul with a terrible sense of the wrath due to the sins which he was bearing. Psalm xxii, 1.

God did no longer sacrifice Jesus, that's your thinking! Jesus did no longer die in any respect. It became Judas who recognized like Jesus, rather of Jesus himself. Hebrews 9:27 KJV And because it rather is appointed unto adult males as quickly as to die, yet after this the judgement: as quickly as you die, you won't be able to return because of the fact the sturdy e book says. So, HOW do you anticipate Jesus to return in his 2d coming?

Jesus knew he had to die to forgive the world, but if there was another way, he'd rather not have to bear the burden. He knew the physical pain he'd be going through in just hours (in fact, he was so stressed that he started sweating blood).
Every person, even Jesus in Human form, needs to pray every now and then to get support and to know where to take their life.
In the end, Jesus resolved to doing what he was there to do, and was no longer scared. Jesus's prayers were answered that night.

The Scriptures quoted have answered your question. In his humanity, he was weak and was totally dependent on God the Father for strength to go through the pain and agony of the cross; however, he opted for the Father's will to be done, i.e., for His life to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins. This is a model prayer for us to adopt in our daily lives. We can pray for God to remove us from conflicting situations or ask Him for strength to overcome / endure the tough times.

Because even though he was God the Son he was also in the flesh as man and he felt what mankind would feel.

dood, let's look at it this way, even though I believe jesus never existed, he was NAILED TO A CRUCIFIX. He was wearing a crown of thorns, NAILED to a crucifix, put on in the sun with no water and food. And whipped too. I'D THINK IT WOULD HURT PRETTY BAD, YA THINK HE'D PRAY?

Jesus knew he had to be crucified, but his humanity made him afraid.
Take away this cup means change my fate!
