I know it takes time to grow your hair long. Are there any ways to speed up the process though?

Also, what's an average rate for hair growth? I was told once 1/2 inch per month, is this about right?

If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aL9Ex While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

you could try my age-old method, which is to use apple cider vinegar as a rinse, and it does make hair grow faster, and it also makes it stronger. Using apple cider vinegar for many other things has been a favorite with me for years and years. It's even healthy to drink, mixed with water and honey, as a health tonic.
Try it yourself for one month and let us know how it works for you.
Be sure to not overdue it though, use only one or two tablespoons in a cup of water (about 8 ounces) for the hair rinse.

6 inches per year, 1/2 inch per month.

You can't really speed up the progress, you can help prevent hair damage, take a multi-vitaman, and trim your split ends every 3 months.

You can buy some shampoo that makes your scalp tingle. I've heard it works decent.
