I am sorry life is not fun or funny for you. I have a large and diversified group of people I am around a lot, and they always keep me in stitches. My family (rather large number of kids) made it difficult not to keep up with the one-liners... if you missed a beat you would be poked fun at by all the rest, so you stayed on your toes. To this day, being one of the blonde ones, (there are 2 redheads, 2 brunettes, and a strawberry blonde besides me) I still am the one who gets sent the latest blonde jokes. Yeah, I think it is funny. I always try to find jokes that poke fun of others, but they just don't seem to have the sharp edge of a simple blonde joke.
Political correctness is out the window in my family. My kids are mixed, and theirs even further, we look like a coalition of the UN. All religions, too. So if you can't "take a joke", you are sunk. Humor is the best way to deal with things, and trust me, EVERYTHING is funny. So maybe if you are hooked on chatting on line, perhaps you should limit your humor. Or get off line and talk to some real people.

Man what's with cg's comment, i've seen that same comment following other peoples questions as well, anyways.....I don't know what you mean about a lack of sense of humour because i am surrounded by people who are funny and outgoing, sure there are some dead beat people around but a large majority that i'm around are quite funny and it's quite enjoyable. =)

you have to remember one important thing that affects everyone:
environment
When you live in a world where people die every minute from stupid things like carelessness, violence, drugs, being too stubborn to accept others, etc. - it's TRAGIC. It's upsetting.
Then, you have to think about how overloaded people are - with advertising, marketing, media, work, pressure to succeed, etc - its hard for anything funny to even catch your attention as being something funny because there's so much other crap you have to deal with.

I think it's probably because the democrats want poor people to continue to live in squallor in public housing and want to tell everyone they can't smoke or shoot guns or drive fun cars and they haev to give even more money to pay the guys who count the money and give it to the guys who wrap the money in rubber bands and give it to the poor.
