Robbery is taking something by trick or force. Intimating to the teller that "this is a hold-up" and to "hand over the money" is trickery and force. If you let the teller think you have a weapon of any kind, then it is aggravated robbery.

For a loan, you fill out paperwork and get approved ... you don't steal.

its a loan on there part ONLY if they filled out papers to borrow money from the bank - now on the other hank the extra money the bank wants back from you for the loan is robbery lol
any time you walk in a bank and tell them give me your money like that its robbery with a gun its armed robbery with out its just robbery -
but hay if you are going to rob a bank cut me in for 1/2 you take the time I get the cash

If you dont have a gun, no banker will give you anything.
As for your question , asking money out of a bank, other than the cash in your own account is definitely robbery. Its a loan when you borrow funds from the banker, not by asking him to empty the drawer.

The teller doesn't know whether you have a gun or not, and you certainly wouldn't walk into a bank and even kid like that. The teller will take your remark seriously, and you could get charged with attempted robbery.

No,
I mean if you are also a bank teller and you are working with them and your drawer goes empty, what are you supposed to do, tell the customer that you can't cash their check because the bank is out of money?

Why would it be considered a robbery if you are a bank teller and cashing someone's check?

It is a robbery if you say it in a serious manner and the teller complies with your request and you make an attempt to exit the building.

If you say it, but do not follow through with taking the money, you could still be charged with insighting panic, I think.

Either way, it does not seem like a good idea.

Its robbery 100%. Its a lone only if your going to pay it back and that the person has a choose to give up the money to you.

Yes it's still considered robbery because you're stealing. It's just not called armed robbery.

1) You don't have to have a weapon for it to be a robbery.
2) It is a loan only if there is a PROMISE to pay the money back.

Tell your brother-in-law to go to a bank an try it. I hope he likes the color orange. He won't ever complain about not having enough sex again!

Robbery is robbery. If you imply that you have a gun you might be charged with armed robbery... loan?
