As a young child my best memories were at my grandparents,And coming from Spain they always had non traditional breakfasts It always consisted of French Bread (sliced to your liking)a hard dry monterey cheese (sold only in California at the time )Black & green olives (sometimes they cured themselves)Italian Salami ,and half of the best ham I ever tasted. We could have had eggs& bacon or cereal but we never wanted that !!

Fried Rice with some Turkey bacon on the side.
I used some left over white rice then fried a little onion and garlic in a skillet, mixed in some strips of turkey bacon..Stir it up.....Then when that's smells real good, throw in the rice and some seasonings. Stir it all up again and maybe add a little scrambled egg or maybe not. Add a few drops of soy sauce or maybe not. Cover with a lid for a couple of minutes. Fix some toast and you're good to go.

The previous night's left over General Tso's chicken and lo mein, along with a cup of coffee and some orange juice.
It was NOT the best combination, BTW. Spent a lot of that morning in the nice little room with the cute white porcelain furniture.
