Which talk better, male or female budgie/?

Males are quicker at learning to talk than females but they both can learn to do it.

Both male and female budgies have the ability to learn how to talk. The only problem is people that are teaching the budgie to talk often expect that it will happen overnight but like anything it takes time and 1-2 words should only be taught at a time byrepeating it over and over agin as too many words can confuse the bird and therfore take longer to teach them. Males are believed to talk better then females but as mentioned before they can both be taught.

Both sexes will learn a few short words, their brain capacity doesn't allow for alot of words, like a parrot's does. But of the 2 the male will learn faster, and retain a word or 2 more than the female. Plus it helps if only ONE person teaches the bird the words. It gets confused easily by the voice tonal changes if more than one person teaches it, and will take longer to learn. Teach it one word at a time, once it masters the first word then go to the next. Don't keep mixing up the words. It learns from constant repetition. If you have more than one bird in the cage, it may never learn to speak, as there's too much distraction for it to pay attention. Boy budgies talk the best! My budgie Alex is a excellent talker! He is 3 years and a real scream! He says alot os words and phases. His best phrase is ( Ahoy there mateys!)
