I'm not easily offended. I just laugh at rude questions and give my answer.

Free speech goes both ways. The speaker has certain rights, but so does the listener. You may have a right to talk, but the listener has the right to object.
The media has the right to impose whatever rules they want about what can be said on their web, blog, radio, TV programs, etc. They are owned by someone, who isn't us. The federal government imposes regulations, too, and the media must follow them, or the feds can fine them.
To summarize, Yahoo! owns this site, and can and does make the rules, and thus stays in compliance with federal laws. Your right to frees speech is limited by this, and anyone here can exercise their right to free speech, and following Yahoo! rules, can report anything they think violates the rules.
I have recommended before, if you have a burning need to swear, or talk filth, there are so many sites out there where it is either allowed, or not enforced. You can excercise your rights there to your hearts content. Oh, sorry, I forgot. That is the purpose of being deliberately vulgar, isn't it? It is intended to shock, and those that do that get satisfaction off that, right?
As to your question, I will report something if I want to, and will asnwer when I want to, and I will ignore when I want to, it is my right to free speach, and I will be following the rules here..
But when the asker says she is 13, and has a medical problem, and someone answers her that she needs to get her father's head out of the affected area, YOU BET I WILL REPORT IT! TAKE YOUR SMUTTY CHILD ABUSING SELF SOMEPLACE ELSE!
Sorry, I do not mean to imply the asker is guilty of this. I mean "you" as in everyone.
Thank you for allowing me to use your question to speak from my soapbox. And as you can surmize from the use of italics above, I feel I am part of the solution! Sorry spellcheck is down, again.

Who am I to judge someone else's question, maybe it is something they really want or need to know. What I hate is the people who give bad advice that can cause someone if they were dumb enough to follow it some harm.
If I don't like someone's questions I simply move along.
Here is a thought, how would you like to have some of the people on here for neighbors? Ewww. HOUSE FOR SALE CHEAP!

I'm the solution. No problems here. I've had problems where people have reported me for chatting ( mundane surely) but so what, it gives me something to do to keep my mind occupied as I'm lonely.........

I report it if it's something extremely offensive, or inciting hate. The rest of the time I'll either give the question a thumbs down or ignore it altogether.

I must say I thought it was just me who thought this. And yes I've only been on here a few days but it does seem like there are stupid reasons. And if I don't like a question I move on. No big deal.

Hell, no, I ain't gonna leave YA because they're f@#$ing snitches in here! (Well, I DID report someone ONLY because they were posting racist s.h.i.t. and it was ONLY ONE TIME!!!!!) REALLY, I'm PART of the solution! 9 times out of 10, if someone asks or says ANYTHING offensive, I would fight fire WITH fire by saying deragatory stuff about THEM and hurting their feelings!

People need to ask and answer intellegently and respectfully.
Many choose to mock those they disagree with and report the wrong people ( those who want to discuss and ask questions).

it's called free speech - someone can ask a vile question and someone else can report. there are rules and regulations in life. with age and maturity that is learned and experienced. possibly the people who don't understand civilized conversation may leave.
