Different people handle the situation differently. All the answers above make sense, but you know what would work best for yourself for relaxation.
I just want to share with you another thought here. Perspectives. It helps greatly if we get perspectives in life. Typically we are stressed out and frustrated when we lose perspectives when the problem in front of us becomes so huge and unsurmountable.
Ever wonder why watching a great movie about a totally different story/person/experience makes us feel good? Ever wonder why climbing up a mountain with a fantastic view helps us exhale? Looking up the clear dark sky brings us peace? LIstening to the waves at the seashore ease our mind? The answer is simple. they bring us great perspectives.
We are just human afterall, trying our best to handle situations at hand. Look beyond your challenges at hand. Appreciate what you have now. And keep on dreaming what is out there to come.
Bon Courage!

First off take a step back and analyze what the problems are and can you fix them yourself?
You sound as though you are extremely depressed and could use some help.
If I were you I would go to see a psychiatrist for some help.
When life brings us down the first thing to do is to think about it, can I fix this part of my life myself? If you don't think that you can right now then I would suggest that you go to a Psychiatrist and be evaluated to see if you need to be put on medication. You sound more depressed than anything to me and there are drugs out there that you can be put on to help you feel better. Anti-depressants work well for most people so maybe you should find out about going to a therapist or Psychiatrist for help. By the way only the Psychiatrist is allowed to dispense medication to you. A therapist is there to talk about your problems. Good Luck

Jump into a jacuzzi and soak for about 30 minutes. While you are in there remember that stressing over things doesnt fix. Its like when you are in a hurry tring to find something you never can because you are all flustered but if you slow down for a second youll find what you were looking for was right in front of you the whole time.

Because you are "stressed out and fed up with life", this does not mean that you have mental illness.
My professional advise to you is that you first take a nice hot shower and then get a really good night sleep. When you wake up in the morning have a really nice breakfast. (If you have to work, call in sick if possible).
The morning is the best time to pick up a pencil and pad and write down all the positive things that you can think of in your life, inlcuding the things that give you the most joy out of life.. As this will be your strength to get your through these tough times). Write down all the negatives and sort them out by seeing what you really can do away with in your life that is negative without having a major impace on your life.
If you have one good freind in life you are blessed. An I pray that you do. Turn to that friend and cry out your heart and soul to them. (That is what a good friend is for. To be there for you in good times and bad times).
Two minds are better then one. So you and the really good friend that you know you can trust should sit down together and come up with alternative solutions to all the negative aspects in your life.
You will be quite surprised how much negative thoughts cause wasted energy and bring on utmost stress in your life. Alot of negative aspects in ones life can usually be thrown away as they serve no real purpose in your life. So why waste energy thinking or dealing with them when you can dump them out of our life.
Sincerely, you can do this yourself and with the help a a close sincere friend.
An if you find that trying to resolve the stress and feeling fed up with life is to big of a problem for you and your close friend, then get yourself a good psychologist.
In your case I say psychologist, because they don't have the authority to write your a prescription for drugs. Drugs only mask the root cause of your problems. You feel good on the drugs, but deep inside your mind, body and soul you are still hurting.
Only a good, one-on-one between you and your psychologist can you get at the root cause and then work together to find alternative solutions that you can agree on to start living a quality life.
There are to many psychiatrist, who will hear only what you have written and pull out their Rx. and write you a prescription for drugs. And that is not the answer.
You will be in my daily prays that you find your way in life.

Take a hot bath, take a nap, answer questions on the Yahoo Q an A board - relax your body - get out of yourself by thinking about something else. At the other end of relaxation - good exercise in the fresh air and being outside can help ease stress.
What's wrong with your life? Maybe talking about it to someone can help.

don't dwell on it. find something you truly enjoy doing and do it now! reading, music, singing, or just sitting outside. if all else fails, take a nice long nap, and set a microwavable bowl of soup or noodles and a candle next to you so that when you wake up you already have something to do. if you feel this way all the time then i suggest you speak to someone or go to the doctor! good luck!

Think about the people who live meal to meal or the kids who beg for food or the pissed off husband who beats his poor wife.
-You need to be happy and find a hobby such as walking, reading or volunteering somewhere to keep your mind off stress.
