im being told by my cable provider (RCN) that it's as good as hdmi.

they both send the digital video direct to the tv but the hdmi also sends the audio and hd send 5.1 surround on the braodcasts of the movies the new dvd players for around 100.00 have upconversion to 720 p 1080i through the hdmi so hdmi wins for me

YBrBT is decent, but your company just wants to save money. I personally think you should use HDMI depending on the age of your DLP, tv, vcr,dvd,etc. THe reason being that older components that still are new enough for hdmi might not have certain copyright hardware, however this is more an issue with Dvi. Hope that helps!

YPrPb and other similar configuration are analog. In theory, the HDMI (which is all digital) should be better. The difference may be very little, however.
