I know girls worry about a lot when it comes to relationships. I was just wondering if guys had some of the same fears or not.

Well, during the introduction phase, there's the fear of making an *** of yourself, or getting rejected.

My main fear during a relationship is the phone. It's really hard for me to say "OK, bye now," without getting the girl mad, or sad, or thinking I hate her, or whatever, but I cannot stand hanging around for two or three hours on the phone. I've got a life, I've got video games, I've got chores... and there's "my girl" just chewing my ear off for no apparent reason, nowhere near me so I can't see her eyes, or anything else on her. Then at the end of the month, I'll have a $300 dollar phone bill that I have to just grit my teeth and pay if I want to keep seeing her at all.

The other fear of course is that she'll decide I'm a looser, and dump me. Or she'll turn out to be some headcase that calls for three hours every day, doesn't want to have sex, but leaves her panties at my place every time she comes over, and does nothing but gripe about her "evil" dad... or something like that.

If she has pets, I'll fear that the hair on her clothes will get my allergies going.

In bed there's the constant fear of farting... Some guys worry about the dangly things between our legs. Mostly I just fear that she'll start telling me things about them that I'd rather not know.

Some guys worry whether their girl will get fat, or develop an eating disorder, or become suicidal, or start backstabbing people, or find the guy's stash of freaky porn and cause drama...or cause any kind of drama.

Yeah, I fear drama mostly. That's my biggest fear. That and her getting upset about my stash of... Well, I don't have anything like that, so I don't worry about that... Really, I don't!

Well, for me, it's just the knowledge that most guys are not as adept at relationships as women are...so for me it was always concern about what they were really thinking about this, or what is it that she's holding back from me that I'll find out once I'm so far involved that I don't want to back out, but will have ramifications for our relationship for the remainder of it.

Basically, fear of losing control...knowing that I had not had the chance to develop relational skills like I wish I had, and having to rely somewhat on my partner to allow me to learn; all while trying not to appear weak to her.

After waiting so long in that healthy friendship, i ask her the bonus question and she tells me that she has a guy by her side or tells me she doesnt want to be in a relationship.

The biggest worry I have is when I get to know her and end up very interested, what if she gets out right after I get interested? My poor precious ego. ha ha. I guess I just move on but I suppose it still worries me.

Going to fast. Getting too committed too fast. Getting her
pregnant is the big number one. It is all about timing. When the time is right and mutual agreement, then the stress is alot less.
