I am head over heals in love with my best friend. We've had a thing for eachother for the past two months now and things have recently been heating up. I'm not sure if i'm his girlfriend even though his family thinks we're dating, and I guess he told some of our friends that we're seeing eachother. He is still friends w/ his ex and it hurts me more than he knows when he hangs out with her, but i'm also kinda friends with her which makes it even harder. He told me he loves me, twice actully, but each time he's said it, he was drunk. Some say alcohol is a "truth searum" but I'm not sure. I know I should just talk to him, but it's not that simple. I can't see myself without him at this point in my life - even though he doesn't treat me as good as I deserve (like I pay for mostly everything) , but that doesn't bother me, and I don't complain because he is all I need. Do you think he was telling the truth when he said he loved me? what should I do? I need some major advice.

From the way you said it... You love him more than he loves you. Yes, he loves you only as a friend. When a man loves a woman, nothing can stop him to declare, show, tell or hide his feelings (without being drunk). A person is true to himself when he is sober. As of now, you said, he is your "all". Just let things be, it is better for a woman/lady/girl that a guy loves him more... just what my mother said " Choose somebody who brings out the best in you". Wait for the right time...take things slowly and just enjoy his company for the moment.

well to be honest some guys are scared to say the words " i love you " to a girl its a really big thing as it is for girls to say it to guys. and i told the girl tht am in love with " i love you " when i was drunk and i meant it , but the only way u can really know for sure if he loves you or not is if u ask him or try and make a moment happen where he has the chance to say it. i know lots of guys who have been in situations where they just have had the chance to say it and they did and its always been the right time to say it. But no matter what the only way u can find out is if u ask him or cause a moment. good luck

this doesn't exactly sound like true love.
if he can't tell you he loves u when he's sober he probably doesn't really luv u. (BTW, hope u n him r over 21)
just confront him about the ex. if you can't talk about something, then the relationship won't work out.
if he's not treating you like you deserve, that is another major signal to end the relationship.

sorry but i wouldnt say that he ment it when he was drunk
when you're drunk you tell everyone you see you love them
so i wouldnt really count on that
you have to look at the signals that he's giving you, when you're together
n jus ask him if he thinks you two are dating
you gotta ask him
not us

he was drunk and guys say alot of things and do them too, so it was probably the alcohol. sorry, but it's no truth seram!
