Christianity is much more than a series of don'ts.

I think what a lot of non-Christians (and even a lot of Christians) don't understand is that things like forgiveness and charity definitely are some of the most important things about our faith, but the things we're told we should and shouldn't do are really for our own good, because God knows us even better than we know ourselves, this is why He gave us rules to live by. It helps us to be happier, and this pleases God, because He is a God of love.

Don't and do's

No where does it say don't be gay, it says don't stick your peter into Paul like you'd stick your peter into Mary.

Now, go stick YOUR peter into Paul and if you get an infection, such as NSU, don't grumble about it.

And if that problem you get from sticking your peter into Paul gives you a virus that no one can cure, don't go asking for anyone's sympathy, although you'll probably get it from some Christians who are very forgiving and compasionate.

You take responsilbility for what you do in the world. (Or did someone hold a gun to your head and say stick your peter into Paul or I'll shoot you!)

It's that simple.

If you take the advise of God and Jesus you might avoid some of the pitfalls.

I don't see life on earth as a series of negatives. But I am still very grateful to see warning signs like "high voltage, keep out", or "dangerous intersection ahead", or "bridge out". I don't see these directives an infringing on my freedom. I don't want the "freedom" to walk into a lethal situation without knowing about it.

As a Christian I enjoy a sense of freedom that non-Christians can never realize. And a part of that freedom is the Ten Commandments, which serve as warnings about behaviors that might otherwise destroy my freedom, and perhaps my life as well. I still have complete freedom to choose. I can choose to walk into a high voltage area if I wish. But at least God lets me know in advance where the dangers lie, and what the probable outcome will be if I ignore the warnings.

If you are reading an instruction book on how to fix your kitchen sink do you walk away and leave your sink in non-working order because it tells you DON'T disconnect the pipes before you turn off the water?

If you are baking a cake do you throw your hands up in disgust and abandon your plans if the recipe tells you DON'T open the door of the oven until time is up or your cake will fall?

Did you disobey your parents and run out into the middle of the road and get his by a car because they told you DON'T do it? Obviously you obeyed them and followed their guidance which I'M SURE included some DONT'S because even though you might not have realized it at the time it was critical for your very survival.

The Bible is God's instruction book for our lives. It tells us what TO DO and what NOT TO DO to survive and have the highest quality of life we can possibly have.

God forgives everybody who calls upon the name of His Son Jesus Christ - the gays, the fornicators, and the murderers who abort their children. It's all covered under the blood of Jesus Christ - the sacrifice He made for us at Calvery.

Dude, I view my parents as a series of don'ts . Don't go out to that place ,Don't drink alcohol ,Don't Smoke,Don't disrespect others...Honestly they're just trying to guide me (i'm not a christian) .Like the advice we get from those who loves us,Religions are just guidelines for us to live our life. To protect us.
We however ..well would we like others to tell us not to do things we wants to do?

I simply accept the power of God and try to be obedient. I know when I repent of sin that I am forgiven and don't repeat the sin (I try) There is a big difference in committing a sin and in judging another's sins.....wrong....God doesn't propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you? or me????
