okay i did my lip like 20 mins ago & i hit a vein yeah bad i know and like it's all swollen and gross right now but when it goes down i'm going to do it again. but what can i do to prevent from hitting a vein again.. cause that was scary. lol. & what about after care. well... all answers are appriciated except the smartass ones. haha.

go to a ******* professional! i'm all for it (i have mine done), but don't mess around and do it yourself...that's your FACE and the rest of us have to look at it, so don't screw yourself up.

Yah, I got mine at a tattoo place.
I'm too much of a wimp to do it on my own.
For aftercare, you need some sort of medicated soap that can help keep infection from the outside - I was told regular hand soap like dial can work - but.. dunno.
And then, you need alcohol free mouthwash, like Biotiene and use it a lot.. after eating and all that great stuff.
It's also smart to get a new toothbrush.

perhaps if you are going to insist upon putting in foreign objects, you should let a professional do it instead of possibly disfiguring yourself by doing it at home.
Just a thought, if you plan on actually making good money someday i would skip the piercings all together.

I do not know but I do know you can bleed to death or get a septic infection and your bloodstream will carry it through your body, to your heart. So you keep on with that ' I am going to do it anyway attitude'. Good for you.
