I was baptised when i was a kid, but i havnt gone to church at all except for like one or two times when i was a kid, but i still believe in fate and that God controls everything, and if i really need help i'll pray to him, but i dont pray every night. A lot of people are now saying that you have to go to church and worship and be a really devoted christian to go to Heaven, I havnt read the bible at all. What im worried about is that I will be sent to Hell for not being "loyal" enough or something. I have the personal belief that as long as you believe in and have faith and know god does everything you'll get to Heaven and live an eternity of happiness. Do you think I will get in?

I do not think you'll get in based off what the Bible says. But it would seem the most important thing is not what anyone else thinks, it's what God thinks since He's the deciding factor in all this. Not to sound like a Bible thumper, but read your Bible, just pick one of the gospels (I'd recommend Mark or John) and find out for yourself what God says and weigh that against your conscience to decide if you've met the conditions for salvation.

You must do two things in order to go to heaven:

1. Repent of your sins. Start obeying God's will as revealed in the Bible,

AND

2. Place your trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the payment of your sins.

It's not enough to have a belief in God. The Bible (in the book of James) teaches that even the demons believe in God...and tremble! Demons are not going to be saved because they show no loyalty to God.

Well, the Bible says the demons believe and shudder, and the Bible is clear that they won't be going to heaven, so simply "believing" must not be enough. The Bible teaches that the only way to God the Father is through forgiveness by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. If you come to Jesus in true repentance and understand what it means to be saved by grace--and not by anything you have done--it is nearly impossible to go through life without more focus on serving God and following His commandments than you express above.

I suggest you read the book of John and determine these two things: what does Jesus say about himself? and what does he ask his followers to do?

It's worth putting in the time to find out for yourself. The Bible is clear that "narrow is the path" that leads to salvation and "wide is the path" that leads to destruction--so more people are on that path than realize they are.

God Bless.

You believe in God, thats great to hear. But sadly no its not enough because even Satan believes in God and he is still going to hell. Eeveryone in the world deserve to go to hell. But we who are saved go to heaven as a forgiven person for our sins that makes us guilty, has been paid for when Jesus Christ (the Son of God) died on
the cross (and rose to life on the third day).

So if you don't ask God for forgiveness and don't follow Jesus ( who is the way, the truth and the life).

Then how can you be forgiven and go to heaven.

Unclear

You have to avoid "the mark of the beast" so I'd say be careful who you follow and who you pledge allegiance to, other than God.

The bottom line, however, is do you do what you do for some reward? I mean if there was no HEAVEN or HELL would you go off and live differently! Why do you need the reward? Isn't doing the "right thing" a reward in itself!

Yes if you believe that GOD died for our sins an rose from the dead then you will go to heaven. I want add that if you truly believe then your heart will change. The only thing I would say for you to go to church for is the fellowship. It is easier to try and be Christ like if you walk with fellow Christians. Friends you have that are not yet saved do not understand. It is easier for them to get you to do things non christian (like clubbing) than it is for you to persuade them to do christian things. (Like going to worship service to praise the new year in instead of being at a party)

No, of course just believing in God isn't enough to get you into Heaven. The kind of belief you have now is called "lukewarm" by Christ, and He won't accept it. After all, Satan and all his demons believe in God too!
You must accept Jesus into your heart as your very own Savior and your very own Lord. (That means, from now on, He's your Boss!) Give your life to Him, sincerely, and ask Him to forgive you your sins. Don't worry, He won't let you down, ever.
As C. S. Lewis pointed out, Jesus Christ either means absolutely everything, or absolutely nothing. Each of us must decide where he or she stands. There's NO fence-sitting, and NO middle ground.
Blessings to you!

What you need to be saved and go to Heaven to spend eternity with God is to accept Jesus Christ in your life and ask him for forgiveness of your sins. That is the ONLY way. It isn't something you can earn or do good deeds to get, as it is a GIFT from God.

No you dont have to go to church. You do have to pray everyday. Just make sure you do good deeds in your life for GOD. Most people are slaves to there surroundings but you are suppose to be a slave to GOD. It would be good to find out what you are suppose to do and not to do by reading the bible. There are alot of sins...such as eating pork, shrimp, and scavenger because he is unclean.

For you to go to heaven, believing in God isn't enough. You have to accept him into your heart and ask him to forgive your sins. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus died for your sins, you will be saved. You have to have a personal relationship with God to be saved. Good deeds alone are meaningless to God. Good works without faith are meaningless to God.
