wasn't someone just trying to get a recommendation to buy one of these....No they shouldn't use any oil, but a half a quart might be acceptible. :(

Most new cars do. Until the mating parts wear in it doesn't seal that well. The oil consumption shouldn't be much and should taper off after about 6,000 miles.

A new car , has a new engine(break-in period)a slight usage of oil is acceptable ."Keep a close watch/record of usage and inform your dealer,when you take the car in for regular or unscheduled maintanence.Enjoy your car!
