because i want to prove for the question in my science fair topic but i don't know what do i do or use to test if the sweetness of the apple will make he apple turn brown more quickly?

Take about five apples. Then bite into each of them once. Record which one was the sweetest and which one was the most bitter. Then leave them all out for a while and see which one turned brown first. The sweetest one the bitter one or one of the other ones that wasn't the sweetest or the most bitter. Label all of them so you can record your results. Like give each apple a number or something. So in your results you can say like apple number two turned brown first and tell whether it was the sweetest or not. And photograph all these steps. Okie dokie hope this works. Good luck

Sweetness is pretty hard to measure. Why don't you try testing different types of apples to see which turns brown faster? For example, does a Granny smith apple brown faster than a red delicious?

Have the apple soak in fresh or store bought apple juice and see how it browns. Make sure if you do that you put it in a clear container so it's easier for you and the people at the science fair to see. Best of luck in your science fair!!!!!!!!!!!!

umm... apples turn brown when they are exposed to air(oxidation), an enzyme called phenolphthalein is responsible for the brown color...to keep them from browning, you squirt an acid like lemon juice on them. it has nothing to do with the sweetness of an apple, it's a pH level imbalance
