It doesn't matter if the drug screen is positive for the drug you have a prescription for. It will show up in your urine, but that is ok because the tester will ask about any prescription medications you are taking. Go ahead and take the medication. As long as it is prescribed by a doctor, it will not cause you to not be hired.

When you have the drug screen, tell the person that you are on vicodin. Give the person the name and phone number of your MD. As long as you have proof you are on the drug for a valid reason, you're ok.

When you go for your drug test, make sure you take your meds with you. That will cover the presence of the meds. As long as they are doctor prescribed to you, you should not have any problem.

a drug test tells exactly what the drug is. if you have your doctors prescription you don't have a care in the world. the med bottle should also tell when to take or you could get affidavit from pharmicist.
