They truly have NO idea what they are doing. They are of the world & feel they have no consequences for their actions. There WILL come a day that they will have to answer for the things they say to Christians. I know they don't believe that, and that is sad. But one day when they are in hell they will be wishing they had listened to us. We as Christians are to forgive them and pray for them.

I search in general answers. So, I haven't just 'come here' to this section. I don't know about on yahoo. Because, I don't frequent here often. But, I have found the complete opposite to be true in other forums and especially in real life. It is the Believers that are hostile and forceful. I don't think Chrisitians truly realize how often they lose an opportunity to convert someone just from the pushy holier than thou attitudes. It offends me terribly when a Christian starts out with 'Do you know Christ?' Because you know where it is going from there with those bible thumping morons. If you don't accept what they believe and how they interpret what they believe then they resort to damning. It's repulsive. And it's not enough that they feel the need to damn you to hell. They have to start spouting off verse after verse after verse. Even after you ask them to leave you alone they continue. They feel it is THEIR duty to set you straight in your ways and lead you to Christ. Guess what? You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. And if some of you would just take the time to actually read your bible instead of memorizing key verses to use in arguments you might see that what you are doing when you shove your bible down peoples throats forcefully is a sin. Why do people get so offended by Christians? Many Christians try to blame it on Jesus. They hate Jesus so much, it is the devil. No actually, it is because of the stupid stunts that are pulled such as rebuking devils out of little girls and moving their mouths around so that they will speak in tongues. A bunch of non sense! The worst of it is the crusades. I absolutely rebuke a christian on a crusade.

You are talking about atheists and others like us right? Well i hate to tell ya but atheism is a religion. Why is that all of you christians think you can come in the religion section and act like you founded it. I hate to tell you this also but....you aren't the only religion out there. I would say more but i don't want to sound blatantly and purposely rude.

Perhaps it would help if some of the Christians were not so nasty to those not of their faith. I try to be respectful of others, but it gets to be difficult when you get insulted and degraded for refusing to agree. It would also show the christian faith better to actually follow the teachings of Christ and show respect for those you do not like or wish to agree with by at least not screaming about how wrong they are and getting upset because they choose not to believe the same as yourself.
Remember the Golden Rule and life for all will be better. Forget that and throw anger around because you can not get others to follow the path you choose, and you will get more of the same treatment because we are still human and tend to respond to receiving hurt by trying to give hurt.
Oh, and religion does not mean "Christianity only" but
1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2.a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

I think it started the first time some bible-thumping fundamentalist came into the science section and asked "Don't you know anybody that believes in evolution will burn in eternal hell fire?" Is that blatantly and purposefully rude, or not?
Honestly, it was the so-called Christians that did it first. It's hard to resist a tit-for-tat on one like that.
Do an internet search on "cognitive dissonance." Then consider why so many religious people feel such a strong need to beat up on people that don't agree with them.

I am an Atheist and I do not so you are wrong about that! Think about this maybe it's because so many Christians are rude to us and insult us and push their religion on us when its unwanted. Why can't you people leave us alone?
I can provided several examples of how Christians are rude and insulting to me and others on this site and in person. I think you need to open your eyes if you think that Christians are perfect and are not rude and insulting to others. I don't knock on your door to tell you my beliefs, I don't tell you what to believe, I don't tell you that you are wrong for not believing. It's the other way around Christians just can't leave us Atheist alone. Sounds to me like you are upset cause you don't get the answers you want to hear.

This is the religion section, and unfortunately, chrstianity is not the only religion out there. So they have every right to be on here. And I'm sorry to tell you, you'll have to get over being angry about it. Christian only websites are not even safe. They think they're right, and they think we are idiots, and there isn't a whole lot we can de to change their minds. God has to call them first.

Unfortunately sometimes everyone gets grouped together. There are many many incredible christians but you also have some rotten apples in the bunch, who do awful things in christ's name including telling non-believers that they are scum and are going to rot in hell for eternity.
I think the negative stuff is aimed at the those rotten apples

You do not have any reasonable expectation of having your beliefs "respected". When a person thinks you are wrong, they are going to tell you so, and they are perfectly justified in doing it.
If you don't want answers that you don't like, then you shouldn't ask questions in the first place.

We come in here to share our viewpoints of questions. It is so dull going through life with just one's ideas not being challenged.
