If by react you mean feel, their emotions would run the gamut. If by react you mean action, it seems they would not risk themselves to stop it.

Kindly provide your definition of an "ethical egoist."
It had better be a good one if you're going to offer excuses for the Holocaust, Hitler, the War or anything connected with it.
