These types of elections are almost always won by the more popular people. It can sometimes become a popularity contest, im not sure about your case, but in general, if you aren't popular you're not going to win.

Unless one of two things:
1) The school is making the students come to the voting stands on their own will
2) You stand out above all the other competition so greatly that everyone is talking about your campaign. You can do this by campaigning: speaking about issues in front of your peers, writing articles and publishing them to people in your school, and just making it a well known fact that you're confident, charismatic, and youre running for elections.

If the school is bringing the votes to the people, and making sure everyone votes then it will be especially hard for someone unpopular to win. You have to really stand out and look good!

Sometime, you are chosen is not because you can, but they believe they you can and you deserve...
They... who will decide.
It's immpossible to make everybody choose you. But at least you can try to make the highest number vote for you..
Then you have to make the priority list...
1. Approach your best friends...
If behind a man there's a woman, the behind you should be some friends support you...
I have ever had an experince, i was in election for the president of student community, but because i have had some activities, my friends afraid that i cant handle it, and they pity me, so they dont want to vote for me, for my best.

So you have to assure your friend that you really want and you can...

2. Know what 'they' want
If they want a person who is creadible and reliable... smart.. then you have to try to be like that..
Study hard and get best mark that you can, never come late, etc

If they like to have chocolate or what... then you can give them. But you have to remember that chocolate is not the answer because you competitor might buy more chocolates than U :(

3. Promise something unique but attainable...
Such as to make a student shop, create a new ex school activity, or make a fish pond,...

OK...Keep trying go for it... wish u the best

Talk to your fellow students. Ask them what changes they would like to see occur at school. Ask them what would make them vote for a vice president. Find out what concerns they have and what is important to them. Maybe you could pass out a questionnaire. To get the vote, you have to represent your constituency (the people you will represent - your fellow students), and you have to connect with them. Write a speech that highlights what you have learned about them, and how you will stand up for them. Come up with a couple of funny one-liners to make them laugh, too.

i think you should say that you will give chocolate bars out at the end of ever week you should say that you are very well-skilled in the practice and that if they don't vote for you that they will be making a BIG mistake.
Hope that what i have said helps you...good luck

Be nice to people as individuals. Get to know their names. Take an interest in them. Be kind and considerate.

Go around to local businesses and ask if they will give you anything like coupons for a free drink or an ice cream or fries or gift certificates for a dollar or two. (We get businesses to donate these to our church youth group to give out to visitors). Then print out stickers with your info to attach to the coupons (or put the coupons in envelopes with your info on them).

Or pick something that students would generally use a lot and have your name printed on it. Pens, pencils, rulers, erasers--all get used a lot by students and are pretty cheap.

You should think of new ideas to better the school. Make flyer's with one or two of your ideas on them. Get people to listen. Ask questions get opinions. LISTEN TO WHAT THE STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY. You have to be a very good listener everything can't be changed but try to do your best. Good Luck!
