I want to move all music to a external drive how do i get itunes to see it all and keep my playlists?

Let's say your external drive is called "D:" and you put all your music on the folder name "albums" so the directory would be for you music is "D:/>album" now run iTunes click "File,Add Folder to library" select the folder "D:/album" and iTunes should be able to detect all of the songs. For your playlist just make another one or double click what happens on your songs on the playlist. I think iTunes will autodetect it or just ask you where the file is.
