I like this guy and He likes me back, only we don't see each other, we only talk on the phone. I'm afraid he is going to ask me out on the phone. Which I don't think in any way is special. What is a way I can tell him without actually make him think I'm expecting something?

being a guy myself i think the best way to tell us not to ask u out over the phone is by when u are hanging out and talking to each other start talking about relationships and just say i hate when guys ask girls out over the phone and tell him how u would like to be asked out

Having guy friends is in no way cheating on your boyfriend at all. Do NOT become a paranoid person, like I was, in talking to other people of the opposite sex, just because your dating someone who belongs to that opposite sex. If anything, its probably healthy to have friends of the opposite sex while dating someone of the opposite sex. However, do not let friendship relationships go further or more serious than just simply being friends. Its making sure you stay loyal to the person you're with and still being friends with other guys at the same time.

Tell him that a friend of yours was just asked out over the phone by a guy she was talking to. Then tell him how tacky you thought it was. Maybe he will get the picture then, without you having to imply that he is going to ask you out.

Maneuver the conversation so you can say "I heard from a friend that a guy she liked asked her out over the phone. That that would be horrible wouldn't it. It just doesn't seem special I guess"

Just say that some one else asked you out over the phone before and you didn't like it. Or better yet say some one asked your friend.

Easy - just say - I'd really rather have you ask me out in person..and then tell him when you'll be home and he can drop over and you can set a date to go out.... (even though I don't know why the phone bothers you).

while talking to him, just try and mention that u don't think it willbe special in any way for a guy to ask a girl out over the phone...and then just change the topic quickly..

You can tell him that you aren't dating right now. You can also tell him that you don't date men that you don't know. You can't know someone if you have never spent time with them. Please be careful.
