ok, about two summers ago, i could sing high notes without any trouble... but ever since last autumn, when my voice started changing, i'll only go a little bit higher than my normal voice and it will either crack and sound really sketchy and change pitch, or it will just have this high pitched, really short note and then just go silent...now i do that i might just have to accept not being able to hit high notes, but is there anything i can do to help all this cracking and un-steadiness when i try to get higher pitched? and could you list them please? to anybody who does, thanks

While you're singing, open your throat like you're yawning. Know where you start to crack. Then, practice scales that bridge your voice change. I'm assuming your voice is cracking between your regular singing voice and your falsetto.
Two or three notes before your voice would normally crack, gradually switch to falsetto. You do this by gradually adding singing through your nose untill you're at a falsetto.

Right, I might help you but would need to know your age and sex. generally these problems are related to lifestyle, age and potential medical problems.
