going through the bible and finding verses to argue about does not equal knowing God's word, or come close to knowing Him

the people who are doing this have little to absolutely zero knowledge of scripture, but they pretend they do anyway. They are liars as well, but this lack of virtue is something that they are probably proud of.

Do you really think someone can read the scriptures and know all of God's word? Everytime I read the scriptures I see something I didn't see before. What gets me is the people that ask questions to keep from having to read and learn for themselves. Honest questions are never silly. God want's us to ask questions. He want's us to know Him.

Ah! Now, I see. You're complaining that others quote the Bible and yet oppose your particular interpretation of it. In other words, you are accusing every one who doesn't share your interpretation of being a Pharisee.
Who made you guardian of the Text? What authority do you have over how the faith must be lived? Perhaps you are the Pharisee.

I think it is silly that someone takes a book of old fairy tales and parables and bases their whole life around it. Believing that it is some mystical gods words. Talk about silly.

You mean like selling your daughter into slavery (exodus 21: 7-8)? Or killing your children for talking back (exodus 21:15 - 17)? Hey, that's just one book. I can go on.

I have no idea what you are referring to, however, many scriptures have been omitted, many lost and I am sure
many not yet found.
