she could just be cleaning herself. or just bored. or there could be a problem.

look at the area...is it red or chaffed? is she urinating normally?
wouldn't hurt to call a vet.

She probably has a urinary tract infection. Give her pure cranberry juice from a health food store and take her to the vet.

yes it is very likely that she has some sort of infection as she is not in her prime age and may have some sorta of infection.....
they do this when they have and infection and lick instead of scratch as scratching there hurts....
Please consult ur vet as this maybe some thing to treat..take care and see that she gets well soon..anyother queries u can plse text me......
