Under when I start Up my computer~
Uncheck -automatically start Yahoo Messenger~

Oh thats very simple!!
In start button click run
in the textbox type msconfig
it opens up a dialog box
in that u click startup tab
from a list that is displayed uncheck the yahoo messenger..
thats it
reboot the system and yahoo messenger will not come on startup...

Go into the preferences of yahoo messenger. Uncheck the box that says it will start when windows starts. Should be under the General tab.

Click on Start, Run, type in msconfig, hit enter, click on startup tab to the right at the top. Find Yahoo Messenger, uncheck the box and hit apply, then close. When you restart, you will get a box that tells you you made changes in msconfig, check the box to tell it not to remind you again.

When you get the messenger right away, sign off IM, and then click your messenger icon on the bar to sign back in, when it comes up there will be 3 options under your sign in id and password, take the check mark out of the box that indicates automatic sign on when you connect.....

In the Y! Messenger box: Go to Messenger [near Contacts] >>Preferences >>"General" tab - uncheck "Automatically start Y! IM"
or
Start >> Run >> type MISCONFIG.. click the "Startup" tab, scroll down until you find Y! Messenger and uncheck it. Then, click ok. It'll ask you to restart now or later.

right click yahoo messenger icon in the takebar click on perferences , click on general ,tab then untick
automatically start yahoo messenger , then click on
appy & ok

just sign out when your getting off and the next time you start up your comp. yahoo messenger shouldn't start on its own.

sign on to your computer then disconnect after it is connected, or go to file. there should be an option to disable it from automatically starting with startup of the computer
