If the person who was trying to lose FAT instead of water weight wasn't eating whole grains(good carbs) while exercising, they could be in for a diet disaster.

Try focusing around better eating styles and habits instead of a quick fix. You'll gain the weight back if you eat like that for a week and then go back to normal eating habits the next.

Veggies and Fruit are essential to health, but try looking at the new food pyramid, or reading up on some healthy diet strategies at websites such as ivillage, prevention, womenshealthmag.com, and more.

That completely depends on the person.... how much weight they need to lose, how much water retention they have,... how much they exercise as well. Cutting out absolutely ALL starches isn't good for you.... you're body needs the complex carbohydrates. A bit of whole wheat bread or grain cereal each day would be beneficial and would also boost your metabolism.

Please don't do this. You will just cause problems for yourself. If you need to lose weight, do it the safe and healthy way. Just cut out the junk food. If you have done that and still need to lose weight then reduce your food intake by about 100 calories, but make sure you are eating at least 1200 calories each day.

It all depends on your disposition, your genes, how much you currently weigh, how much you excercise. It is a very complicated thing.
