I guess, you're sick of hearing it, but a good well balanced diet is best and will work better in the long run, because you won't fall off it and gain back the weight you lost plus more. Here's an easy rule; If you multiply your body weight times15, that is how many calories you need to eat everyday to keep that weight.
EXAMPLE: if you weigh 100 pounds = 100x15= 1500 calories.
One pound is 3500 calories, so if you eat 200 calories less everyday, {1300 calories], you will loose about 1 and a half pounds a month.
Do you get it?
Hint; If you supplement your diet with calcium pills, you will loose 60%more weight, and calcium is good for you. Or drink lots of 1% milk with your meals.

Hi I did the Adkins diet and lost 47 pounds fast It was easy to follow I was NEVER hungry but i did find that I was a little tired from it I walked every day (still do) I feel great now Good Luck to you!

I'm a firm believer in pilates, it tones and gives you lean muscle without the bulk, it's easy, and you only do it 3 days a week for 20 mins. You can also mix it up by walking on your off days

Take up kayaking or another activity thats more fun than going to a gym, even walking. Even doing it once a week for an hour will show a huge difference in your health.
I play kayak polo once a week and go whitewater kayaking almost every weekend, its REALLY fun and I lost 30 lbs doing it.
