I prefer this version
¿What if god smoke cannabis?
If God had long hair
And a goatee
And if his eyes were pretty glazed
If he looked spaced out
Would you buy his story
Would you believe he had an eye infection
And yeah, yeah, God looks baked
Yeah, yeah, God smells good
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah
What if God smoked cannabis
Hit the bong like some of us
Drove a tie-dyed micro-bus
And he subscribes to Rolling Stone
When God made this place
In the beginning
Did he plant any seeds
Or did he put them there for Adam and Eve
So they’d be hungry for the apple that the snake was always offering
And yeah, yeah, God rolls great
Yeah, yeah, God smells good
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah
What if God smoked cannabis
Do you suppose he had a buzz
When he made the platypus
When he created earth, our home...
Does he like Pearl Jam or the Stones
And do you think he rolls his own
Up there in heaven on the throne...
And when the saints go marching home
Maybe he sits and smokes a bowl
That would explain a lot, now wouldn't it ?

NO! Not a disappointment at all. Go see Dogma, an older movie with Jay and Silent Bob. It is hilarious, but I have a feeling there are certain things said in that movie that are close to home. Home being heaven.. God has a great sense of humor, he created laughter. The father of laughing, the father of love, the father of creation. "There ain't no hiding place from the father of creation."

If god is GOD and decided to join us on earth as an every day man, i think if people knew it could be possible they'ed be on there best bahavior. He'd be able to see every thing and judge people first hand. Would'nt that be scary to get struck by lightning on the spot.

Yeah I know the song. To answer your question...if He was one of us, we wouldnt be here.
The bible says we were made in His image so apparently we have the resemblence of God...but He is the author and the finisher, the first and the last, the alpha and the omega.

Study about Jesus. He was "God with us" so the Bible says. It records that many wold not put their faith in Him because they knew Him and his parents and siblings. He was just a carpenter, like many a man today.

God WAS one of us - Jesus Christ.
Jesus also said, "whatever you do for the least of My brothers, that you do unto me."
If you cannot see Christ in the poor and the homeless, you will not see Him when He calls you.

No,, one needs to give some thought to the song,,,
For those who believe in God,,,,,,, God is always watching and with us,, knowing all and how you treat others,,,,,,,, is how you will be seen... i could run on about this,, but not worth the effort.......................

in 200 thousand years time, we will have the technology to do a perfect recreation of our big bang....
which will ultimately result in humans..(but destroy us)
Maybe we came about this very way.
Give us time and we'll be gods.
