Both nuts are part of the meat group in the food pyramid and a good source of protein. They also contain lots of fiber, lots of vitamins and other nutrients. Chestnuts are really low in fat and calories compared to Walnuts, which are higher in fat, but high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Chestnuts have a sweeter taste. Walnuts have a distinct flavor that accentuates the flavor of spices and ingredients when used in baked foods.

Hi Chestnuts are they ones you buy from the street vendor where it get roasted with the hot sand and sold in brown bag.
Descriptor - it has a dark brown shell which is smooth and the nut inside is fragrant and a bit powdery.
Walnut has a tough outer shell in light brown and the nut is shaped like our brain hence, it is thought to be a good brain food.
It is alot more pricey and may be bought in the supermarkets.
