If its for your family friends you say TE QUIERO (tae kee-ah-roh)
if its for your boyfriend husband you say TE AMO (Tae ah-mho) (that A in amo is pronounced like a in apple).
Te quiero means friendly love, not as deep and passionate as TE amo, which you say to your bf or husband.

There are a few possible phrases that you could use in Spanish, depending on what kind of love you mean, and who you're talking to.
Assuming that the person you're talking to is a close friend or family member, you'll probably want to use the tú forms. In that case, your choices are
Te amo
Te quiero
"Te amo" expresses a very deep kind of love. It is usually only appropriate for one's spouse or romantic partner.
"Te quiero" expresses kind, family love and friendship.
So you probably want to say "te quiero". Be careful about who you say "te amo" to.
