In 195O a good hamburger was .25 so I guess a hot dog was around that or maybe a bit cheaper. We used to get Pall Mall (ugh) cigarettes out of a machine; .25 cents a pack in 1955. Gas was .50 a gallon in LA in 1954. its true! And of course long ago Lifesavers were only .5 a roll! Regular size Cokes and 7-Ups were also a nickel, I think. In a store you could get them out of a metal case filled with ice that always melted. You had to open one side and stick your hand in the icy water to lift the bottle out. The case had a bottle opener conveniently built on the side.

MMybe 5 cents cause i think back then disneyworld was like 15 a acre so not sure if thats even 50 years bak

Price all depends where you lived, from one place to another it varies, just like today.
But I’ll guarantee you that they were the same price as today if you go by the cost of living.
If you look at number today, certainly that you see or would find out that they were a couple pennies, but back then…. It was the equivalent as of today.

I just bought a hotdog on my college campus that cost $5.50! What a rip off. The best part is, I ordered it, and the sign that listed it didn't have any price. When she told me the total I was stunned. This hotdog wasn't even as nice as the ones they give you at Costco for a buck or so.

A hotdog.....or a "Steamin' Pup" as it was known in those days.....cost a goocher and a pillswhip 50 years ago.
That's 15 cents by today's fancy accounting.
