I'm an only child and I guess there's advantages to that as I was growing up, like all the gifts on Christmas morning. I always wanted a sister or brother but it never happened. And so often as an adult I think of not having someone to share the pain of losing my parents. That's something I will have to face alone. I know I will have plenty of relatives but not a brother or sister to turn to. So count your blessings, all ten of them.

1 Older half brother who was adopted out as my mum had him when she was 13 and then uncannily came back into our lives when I was 13!
2 older half sisters from my mothers first marriage that my dad adopted when he married my mum.
3 sisters all younger than me
1 younger brother
My parents kept going until they got a boy!! Then my mother left when he was 7!!
