I would seriously worry about how they happened to call my number right after my husband left, and probably would have reported it to the police. You certainly were right to decline the offer!

In today's world I think the best answer is what you did politely decline. You know you just may have saved your own life. Hey, was your water heater giving you trouble and how did he know?

I would say that I think I am being scammed and hang up on the jerk. In these days and times, nothing is ever for free and there are all types of con artists in the world preying on innocent people. You can never be too cautious when it comes to telephone calls like that. It's always best to be safe than sorry.

I also would have politely declined, you know what was on his mind. I however, would have also brought this to the attention of my husband. How bold and ignorant of this man. some people just have all the nerve in the world. God bless

Good call. That could be anything from a financial scam to someone wanting to strangle you, although the first one's alot more likely.

You politely saved your marriage. Methinks this smells of a hot water set up, albeit a fairly easy one so you, being admired and loved, would not fail.
