Since you can't see or prove evolution, does that make it false?

Have you ever studied evolution?

Do you know that Darwin was not an atheist?

Do you think evolution is a probability?

*Answers to any of these questions will be fine, you don't have to answer them all. Also, don't post rude statements, I am an adult, not a child, and you don't even know what I believe, so don't be negative. Rude answers will get a thumbs down and will be reported. Thanks!

Jedi: "Who says you can't see or prove evolution?"
Because there is no scientific facts that evolution is correct, nor has there ever been, it is a theory, a very intelligent theory, but a theory none the less.

Yes, he developed his own set of beliefs much like Einstein

Do you think evolution is a probability?

Reporting answers you deem to be rude is not very sporting.

1) No. There is evidence that evolution happens. But, it can not be proven completely. But, most people who believe in creationism are not open about the idea that there is no way to proven creation happened.

2) Not formally

3) No, Darwin was not an atheist. So? Evolution is not incompatible with religion. Thinking that evolution happens does not make you an atheist.

4) Yes, there is some probability that evolution is true (100% or 1 is a probability). There is some probability that you will think this answer is rude, too. Again, so?

for those of you stating that evolution is true or a certainty. You do not understand science. There isn't an absolute truth to science. Someday evolution could be shown to be false. There maybe a certainty of 99.9999% that it works, but there will *always* be uncertainty. This is the power of science.

Evolution has been observed and proved, so it makes it true. We have studies of breeding, genetic phylogeny, and we has fossils to observer. Evolution is still going on as we speak.

Yes, I have studied evolution extensively.

Darwin studied theology because it was his only ticket to stay within his social class, but he did reject any gods from the religions of his time. Was he an Atheist? Most likely.

Evolution technically is a probability just the same way Creationism is a probability, but given the evidence of Evolution, it is a fact. This borderlines the "chance" argument that is false.

Evolution is not a matter of 'belief'.

In science, a 'theory' is not just 'an idea', as the scientifically ignorant seem to think, in common parlance... it is an explanatory framework for a set of observed facts... a description, or model, of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same sort, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation.

In science, a 'theory' occupies a higher level of importance than mere 'facts'... theories EXPLAIN facts. In the case of the 'Theory of Evolution', the OBSERVED FACTS that it explains are the changes that occur in the genetic makeup of populations of organisms, over time. The explanation is genetic drift (statistical variations in the genetic within a population) and mutations (random), operated on by natural selection (NOT random). In other words, "The non-random survival of randomly varying replicators (Richard Dawkins)." NONE of this is in dispute among scientists. It represents a consistent body of scientific fact extending back almost 150 years, which is well supported by genetics and by the fossil record. There has NEVER been anything found to refute it.

Evolution is strictly a biological science. It has nothing whatsoever to do with or to say about the origins of the universe or the world. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the origins of life. It has only to do with changes to the genetic makeup of populations of organisms, over time.

The people who vociferously dispute evolution are generally those whose livelihood depends on having large flocks of scientifically ignorant believers (sheeple) who do not question what they are told... they merely parrot it. If those sheeple were to actually begin to think for themselves, and investigate the scientific facts with an open and critical mind, they would at some point begin to realize things like "Hey... this idea that the earth and humans were created over 6 days somewhere between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago is absolute horseshit. The Universe is around 14 billion years old, and the earth is around 4.7 billion years old." Or: "Wow... look at that... there is absolutely no evidence in the geological record that there was ever a world-wide flood... and there is plenty of evidence that there was not."

Within the past few decades, astronomers have discovered unimaginally huge clouds of organic chemicals (the 'building blocks of life') in space, in the vicinity of 'stellar nurseries'. This reinforces the idea that life is ubiquitous... not a unique condition associated exclusively with our little planet. In fact, it may be that "when and how did life arise on earth?" may not even be the right question. There is a very real possibility that primitive 'life' was raining down upon the earth over the entire time that it was forming, and for hundreds of millions of years afterward. The REAL question might be "When did conditions on earth settle down enough that life was able to take hold?"

"Since you can't see or prove evolution, does that make it false"

Who says you can't see or prove evolution?

Darwin recanted on his deathbed. This is completely fabricated and has no foundation in truth whatsoever. A woman named “Lady Hope” spoke to a church group shortly after the death of Charles Darwin. She claimed that she was at Darwin’s bedside on the day of his death. She also claimed that Darwin recanted on evolution and accepted Jesus on his deathbed. Her claims are not only unsupported, but are directly opposed by Darwin’s daughter, Henrietta. Henrietta stated “I was present at his deathbed, Lady Hope was not present during his last illness, or any illness. I believe he never even saw her, but in any case she had no influence over him in any department of thought or belief. My father never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. I am upset that the U.S. Christians have fabricated this conversion nonsense. The whole story has no foundation whatever.” February 23, 1922.

Evolution is a scientific fact.

I also now believe that humans created the universe.

I believe they had the technology to do so - just like we will in the future, and we will have the technology to create a big bang, and humans like us will result from this.

I also believe that this is the most credible scietific explanation you are every likely to hear in your life...so listen up..

Man..creates big bang with the use of human technology.(millions of years pass)..Man results(us)...creates big bang -etc etc.
Everything in the universe looks manufactuered and man made.

Evolution can be seen in the fossil and genetic recorded and seen actively occurring on microorganisms so it is proven.

Yes I have studied it.

Most people in Darwin's' day and in his culture were Christians so it is only natural he was as well.

Evolution is a certainty.

Evolution has been proven more than many scientific theories.

I have studied evolution

Darwin was not an atheist.

Evolution predicts events, making it more than probable. It is useful.
