ok heres the deal , i broke up with my bf about 3 months ago because i was going through a hard time and didn't want to get him involved , but i never told him that was the real reason . but i just told him a couple of weeks ago and told him i still love him and that i want to try it again . he said he still loves me too but right now he wants to be friends until i show him he can trust me again and that he won't get hurt again . so right now we're friends but i'm miserable that way and i can tell he is too , he's just to stubbern and afraid . how can i convince him to trust me again ? please give advice , i really love him .

(Please forgive my perhaps harsh treatment)

He might be right. You abandoned him for no apparent reason. You claim in was in his interests, if so, you should have told him exactly why you were breaking up. As a true couple decisions should be made together (and it is ultimately his choice what he gets involved in or not)

So perhaps he is having trouble trusting you. Prove that he shouldn't

Gee, thats a tough one, I'm in same situation and talk about a heart break its all I think about and I'm also miserable. If you think of a solution pass it on.

Give him time and space...literally...if he is really "attracted" to you - a little separation (like give him a night off with out a call) will give him the feeling of "oh my." I know this works (at least it did on me....lol).

Let him have his space. If it is meant to be he will be back. After all to be honest you should have confided in him with your problems. By not telling him it looks like you have something to hide

show him what you wrote on yahoo answers. telling him you love him is not going to do it. you need to show it to him. and i do not mean sex. but with supporting his interests and sharing your feelings with him. make him feel good about himself. yeah yeah that is it make him feel good about himself. if all he wants now is friendship give him that and he will slowly realize that he wants more from you. after all a relationship is all based on friendship
