OK, what if God want you to follow him because he loves you but there is no reward such as heaven and no punishment such as hell. My Question really is that do you believe because deep inside you are a really good person and really feel your God's love and want to be a good person, or is it because you think being good gain you an entry into heaven or in case there is a hell? Will you still be a beliver if it is just an option to be with God but you will never get rewarded or punish if you choose to not to follow God?
Basically, will you choose to leave God if he doesn't provide anything to you at all?

i would walk with God just because He is the only one who knows every part of me and i will never find someone who excepts me just as i am knowing every thing about me....He loved me enough to create me knowing what i'd be like and how much pain i would cause Him

The opinion of an Athiest (One of which is that Athiesm qualifies as a religion)

I feel, deep down inside myself, the need to be a good person and the desire to make life better than others. This comes not from a love of a god or the fear of a hell, but from just me. I guess that could mean that I love myself (or am deadly afraid of myself) but I'm generally proud of my self-contained morality.

Without the punishment/reward factor, there is no real reason to be involved in such religions unless it happens to be a hobby.

My God provided proof of himself to me, but not with promises of rewards after my death or even rewards for simply having faith. I love my God as I do a caring parent and for many of the same reasons. To me my faith is an act of being. The most I need from my deities is to know they will be there when I have the greatest need, not for them to shower me with gifts of which I have no need, even if I have the desire. There is no reward beyond faith itself and no punishment for a lack if I am to change to another path. Simply, I am happy being of my faith and I know it is my own choice to believe with the level of faith that I have and it is not a weak one either. His presence in my life is reward enough and is also enough to reaffirm my faith when He chooses to make Himself known.

i'm a roman catholic...i choose to be good when i can[cause God knows i am human] because i know it pleases Him and pleasing him is the point...i do beleive heavan and hell exist but what i do beleive is even if you do bad things and you still beleive in God you go to purgatory but if you DONT beleive in God then well you go to hell....the reward is very good but God said that when you come to him you will need nothing...so even if heaven doesnt exist it still does in a sense that if you are with Him then that will be your heven...i dont know if you get what i'm saying...like even if there isnt a concrete reward, if you are with Him that is a reward in itself. Hope you get what i'm saying

i don't believe in haven or hell and I also don't believe that there is an after life. I just want to be a good person while I am alive and do the right things set by society and my own values. who knows where one goes after they die. the important part in this life is to not hurt others.

I get what you are saying, but to Christians, God has to exist, then his home has to exist. Heaven isn't only in the highest of skies, it is an ability within us all to see the good in all things. Not to dwell on the negativity, but know God is seer of all, and caretaker of all.
To bare all cheerfully, let evil be evil as it does not reflect on the good,"vengeance is mine saith the Lord". We are to be meek and humble, but above all ....LOVING.:o]
But yes yes YES< I would absolutely follow God and the Lamb no matter....

Depends on the god. One would have to exist first. I'll wait until one shows up to decide whether to follow him or not.
