If a fly is a fly because it flys why is bird a bird it flys should it not be called a fly as well?

a bird is in a different catagory than a fly. a bird is an animal a fly is a insect a bird is warm blooded a fly is not.

No, the first thing human ever seen that flied was a fly, therefore called a fly, they couldn't call everything seen a fly so everything else that flies got different names. Understand.
