Here is a website that describes the differences: http://www.atlantadentist.com/baby_tooth.html
If it is an adult tooth, take her to the ER. Call the ER, and let them know you are coming and bringing in a 6-yr-old with a loose adult incisor. Let them know if the root system is intact. They will have a dentist on call.
If the tooth comes out, and it's an adult tooth, put in in milk until you can get to the ER.
Good luck!!

It should be her baby tooth that fell out. By now, she should be about to lose both of the fronts as well as her laterals (the ones beside the fronts). The first thing you should do is put the tooth in a cup of milk and call the hospital. But if you are really scared, make an emergency dental appointment and have them take an x-ray. The x-ray will be able to show whether the new tooth is about to erupt or if there is no trace of one.
If there is no trace, then more than likely, unfortunately, that was her permanent tooth.
Good luck.

If the tooth looks small, like the rest of her teeth that haven't come out yet, I wouldn't worry. If it seems larger than the others (oversized for her mouth), it may need dental attention, but if the tooth hasn't come out completely it may tighten up again on its own, just have her eat soft food, until you can get in to see the dentist. Permanent teeth usually have longer roots than baby teeth so if it does come out before you can get to see the dentist, you can put it in some milk, which will help keep it healthy until you can get an appointment

It probably is a baby tooth. Just don't worry too much and make an appointment with your dentist as soon as you can. Good luck!
