Make sure you get yourself listed on trade websites. I always check http://www.118trades.com or http://www.020.co.uk/ when looking for tradesmen. Also, advertise in local free magazines. In SW London we get a free magazines with property listings - SW Magazine, Rise, The Bridge - and I've used these frequently to source decorators / carpenters etc.

Promotions, student/OAP/unemployed discounts, downloadable vouchers or simply copy someone else's website (hahahahaha). Can I get a few tins of magnolia paint and some MDF for shelving and when can you come and put some cupboards in my kitchen? Got a long list of stuff for you to do. Please leave the builders' bum at home. Cheers mate.
