In my adult life the best criticism comes from the Agnostic world view, not the theist, in my humble opinion.

Why criticize ? We would all be better off if we respected an individuals choice in regards to religion or lack there of.

Atheists think within the realm of human logic and established science. They don't realize that a true divine being would naturally be illogical to a human, for its nature is, to a human, infinitely complex; they also don't realize that science is ever-evolving. I've heard atheists say that astral projection is impossible, but it was not long ago that it was proven that humans have the ability to leave the physical body. Also, for a long time, it has been considered impossible to create energy. Well, only about a month ago, a company in Ireland found a way to manifest free energy. This is contradictory to existing scientific laws, but as science is always in a phase of evolution, the scientific laws can be bent, or broken, if need be.

Jim,

I don't spend time reading criticism of atheism so I have no idea of the best criticism as you call it. For me it is not worth the time to pursue something that is neither here nor there.

One of my criticisms is that belief that this awesome creation in which we live just happened by chance. Non-creation means there is no greater Being to share my greatest JOYS / greatest sorrows with.

Their refusal to accept the fact that they have been programmed from their youth to accept 'theories' as fact. Cartoons on TV, storybooks, science books, etc. that begin sentences with the phrase "Millions of years ago,....."

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY was here to observe and write down anything that happened 'millions of years ago', yet entire areas of scientific study only exist because of that premise.

Yet, the oldest documented writing on the planet is dismissed for lack of acceptance of the POSSIBILITY that they MIGHT be wrong. Science, the hew and cry of the atheistic world view, is supposed to operate under the general premise that 'all things are possible, but not all things are probable'.

Many people are too weak to lack belief in something. They need belief in order to cope with everyday life. This is why atheism is not for everyone. However, it would be nice for people who have to believe in something to choose something that is a little less violent and judgmental of other people.

if you define simplest as best then perhaps the best way of clearly winning an argument is by saying how are you sure but that has absolutely no bearing on which is more logically true.

What is your world view. It seems to me it is without hope or hopeless.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
