It's been 2 millenia.

Have any of you faithful ever though about how easy it would be to convince a bunch of uneducated, unscientific people you were the son of god.

When you think about Jesus making water into wine, might that have just been a switcheroo behind a curtain or something and the people of the day believed.

I think God would reveal himself to us for real if he really existed and wanted us to be saved.

Some ancient people knew the truth... Search for a mathematician named Eratosthenes. This guy used data collected from points off the equator to calculate to significant precision the equatorial circumference of the earth... long BEFORE the time of Jesus. Your understanding of ancient thinking is grossly misinformed... but that is not the only thing you don't understand.

If I fulfilled prophesies that were hundreds of years old, I would have an easier time convincing people I was God . . but I don't, Jesus did.
Here is the deal: If you really don't want to hear or read anything about this, that is your decision. I'm not going to force anything down your throat. All I'm asking is that you don't call me an idiot for believing. I can't speak for everyone here but for what it is worth, I apologize on behalf of all the Bible believers on here who have offended you. I'm sorry.
However, if you have any questions, let me know.

Some people will believe whatever they choose to believe. Put aside the major religions, you can see the fine examples of cults every corner of the world. Have you heard about cults in Utah that practice polygamy and other incests activity ? What about the Waco texas several years ago ?

No matter how much proof you think there is. Just that you have to give up trying to convince certain people. As they don't neccessary want to tune in.

Simple, because He is God and will always be...people will still believe it in 1000 years more, but sadly you are not going to be here to see it.
You should try to convince people you are the son of god, if it is so easy as you say...i bet you couldn't convince even 5 people.
Have you ever think that if people was convinced he was the Son of God 2000 years ago and and still today so many people is convinced about it...maybe all He said was true?? 2000 is a lot time...

Am a Muslim and i know that Jesus is not God and he is not the son of God he is a prophet that was sent to Israel people to make them believe in God and stop following the Devil...and yes he had miracles like talking when he was a baby and like walking on water but God gave him these miracles to make the people believes in what he is trying to tell them and that is to believe in God and do things that will lead them to heaven these things are wrote in the Bible but not the Bible we have in these days because the people over the years changed it to what they believe in....and God exists we all know that and believe in it and why God should reveal himself to us? he created us and everything in the whole world, who do you think made everything but him?

You may not know as much about religion as you've convinced yourself that you do.

Christianity's adoption as the religion of choice in the Roman empire had a lot to do with the educated classes seeing in the gospels, the Johannine gospel particularly, some rather odd and remarkable parallels with the neo-platonist conception of God.

Of particular interest to them was the idea of the Logos - as expounded by John, it seemed remarkably similar to the neo-platonist idea that God must somehow sustain existence - creation, in other words, is not just a one time act, but a continuing sustenance of existence.

It was great intellectuals like Ambrose, Augustine, and Athanasius that defined Christianity's path into the church sanctuary, not the dumb, illiterate peasants of your (and only your) imaginings.

To see an example of what I'm refering to, consider reading Book ten of St. Augustine's "Confessions" where he discusses the nature of time.

Read it, that is, if you are sufficiently intelligent and well-educated to follow it (the book is a hard read for someone not aquainted with philosophy.)

you have made your factor and made up your concepts. I went by this experience some years in the past and as quickly as being a Bible-thumping, Holy-rolling, compliment Jesus the different be conscious out of my mouth, now see issues very such as you do. i'm going to disagree with you on one factor, whether. Jesus did exist and became crucified. Roman information do checklist this trial, although the call became diverse (can not submit to in concepts the best call). besides, Islam is an offshoot of Christianity, and Islam acknowleges the existance of Jesus, although classifies him as a "prophet" and not the Son of God. My assertion to you, although, is "stay and allow stay";and my question to you is, "in spite of your ideals, it they don't look to be harming others, do you have the properly suited to attack yet another guy's ideals?"

Because he is god. It has nothing to do with the order of the planets. The Bible and Science are 2 different things. Get over the bug in your ***.
